Đầu tiên, bạn làm sạch cá rồi cắt thành khúc, thêm một ít muối, tiêu và 15ml rượu trắng rồi để ướp trong 10 phút. Cắt nhỏ tất cả phần hành lá, tỏi, gừng và ớt. Trộn đều các nguyên liệu của phần sốt ướp lại với nhau. Lót sẵn giấy bạc lên khay nướng, quết lên một lớp dầu mỏng, xiên cá vào que.
Quết đều phần sốt đã chuẩn bị lên các miếng cá. Cho cá vào lò đã được làm nóng ở 180 độ C, nướng trong khoảng 10 phút. Lấy cá ra, lật mặt còn lại rồi lại quết thêm một lớp sốt và cho vào lò nướng thêm 10 phút nữa.
Cuối cùng, bạn xếp cá ra đĩa, rắc lên trên mặt một ít hành lá và ớt cắt nhỏ để trang trí. Làm cho món cá nướng này đặc biệt chính là phần sốt đậm đà mà bạn tự pha đấy! Món cá cay cay, mằn mặn, ăn trong ngày mưa lạnh là đã lắm luôn!
